Spring Jaunts by Air
This month at The George we are looking forward to Mother’s Day on 18th March
and have set up a Mother’s Day break. This incorporates a night’s stay on Sunday
18th, breakfast, Sunday lunch in The George’s Dining Room (we’re proud of
our roasts, which include local Romney Marsh Lamb), and for the ultimate treat,
an hour’s in-room massage, flowers and chocolates. This must certainly answer
any mother’s dream. Rates start at £100 per person in a Standard bedroom
based on 2 guests sharing, and we do have interconnecting rooms for families.

For guests staying two nights or more, The George is now offering day trips to Le Touquet on the Opal Coast of northern France, in partnership with Lydd Air. Regarded as Paris by the Sea, Le Touquet is a serene and sophisticated 19th century resort. A favourite haunt of the likes of Noel Coward in the 1920s, its Art Deco villas provide an elegant backdrop for a visit. We’d particularly recommend you try Le Café des Arts, which has a seriously impressive cheese board. But to be honest if you're a foodie you’ll have difficulty deciding where to eat as there are so many good restaurants. This article from The Times might help you to decide. The two night package starts from £210 per person including flights, accommodation and dinner one night in our restaurant. Click here for more details.
And if you’re already looking forward to the long Easter weekend, we’ve just put up details here of our three night package, which includes the best of spring’s new produce in the Dining Room, Easter Egg hunts for the children, and of course, lots of exquisite chocolate for you.
Best wishes
Alex and Katie Clarke
