Join us on Tuesday 29th October for a delicious Medieval Banquet as part of Rye's Wild Boar Week.
Our Head Chef has designed a three course banquet around the medieval theme, using local and seasonal produce. Indulge in the culinary delights of the dark ages, including wild boar, grouse, mulled wine, ale and mead!
'Smugglers Tales' will entertain the guests, re-living the story of the notorious Hawkhurst Gang of Smugglers, who during the mid 18th Century, ruled this area like the mafia! The infamous smuggler Gabriel Tomkins will also be on trial for theft and murder - and will include his dastardly exploits in Rye, with and without the Hawkhurst Gang.. and you , the audience, become the jury!
The evening will start at 7:30 p.m. with a welcome drink, followed by a three course banquet and Smugglers' Tales.
35 per person to include welcome drink, three-course banquet and entertainment. The menu is described below:
Wild boar charcuterie board
Suckling pig, roast potatoes and braised red cabbage
Baked apple with homemade ice-cream
