200 years since its completion, we have invited P.A.L.Vine, undoubtedly the best authority on its construction and operation, to talk about the Royal Military Canal's role in deterring Napoleon's army.

Mr. Vine's researches offer fascinating insights into social and military history and significant engineering achievement.
