"The history of every country begins
In the heart of a man or a woman."
Willa Cather, 1937-1947
If you are a history lover (and there are few better places to indulge your interest than in East Sussex), the most enjoyable thing of all is to discover the past than with an expert guide. We are delighted to be partnering with Peter Pyemont, a retired history teacher who has caught the attention of David Dimbleby:
"Peter Pyemont's talent is bringing history alive. He is an imaginative story teller who draws his audiences into the dreams of the past - the perfect guide."
With the choice to stay either one or two nights, Peter will be your personal host on a discovery of The Battle of Hastings and/or Bodiam Castle, combined with luxury accommodation, breakfast and dinner at The George in Rye and plenty of time to discover the town's shops, restaurants and cobbled lanes.
