New Year's Eve Dinner & Dance, Tuesday 31st December 2013

Our New Year's Dinner & Dance this year has a 1950s Rock and Roll

theme - it's Teddy Boy and Rockabilly style all the way, so do dress up in your finest drape jackets and drainpipe trousers or prom dress, and get that quiff in your hair. In terms of music, think Peggy Sue, Rock Around the Clock and Shake, Rattle and Roll all the way. After a cocktail reception, there will be a three-course Americana dinner in our Ballroom:

Starter -
Shellfish cocktail, caviar jelly and saffron Marie Rose
Main course - Fillet of Aberdeen Angus Beef, chunky chips, creamed cabbage and bernaise sauce.
Dessert - Banana and peanut bread and butter pudding

The vegetarian menu comprises celeriac soup and truffle oil and wild mushroom risotto.

Our band will be The Rock n' Roll Society, who have built a fantastic reputation and won't fail to get you dancing.
The evening starts at 7 for 7.30pm for a reception cocktail in the George Tap and Grill Bar.
Then upstairs to the Ballroom for a sit down dinner from 8pm.
The band will play a number of sets throughout the evening, including seeing in the New Year.
Dress is 1950s or Black Tie; last year we saw some tremendous outfits so we have decided to give a prize of a magnum of Champagne to the best dressed couple!
