Located in South East England, Holmbush Estate comprises a mixture of arable, livestock and forestry. The Farm has been in the care of the same family since the mid 1800's. From an agricultural perspective, the soil on the farmland is principally a very heavy clay which is slow draining and therefore difficult to farm. The forestry on the other hand is mainly on sandstone which is much more free draining. Holmbush Farm is situated in the beautiful area of countryside designated as 'High Weald', which stretches right the way from the western side of Sussex across to arts of Kent. The Farm is also part of St.Leonards Forest, historically well-known in the area for the abundance of legends which have grown up - tradition holds that the last dragon of England was seen here!
